The April 17, 2017 School Board meeting has been relocated to the LHS Music Room beginning at the normal time of 5:30 p.m.

There will be a School Board meeting on Monday 4/10 at 5:30pm at the SAU office, 65 Maple Street. 

This is a work session to review Personnel. The notice says Non-public if necessary.

Destination Imagination

Three of our Lakeway teams made it States from Regionals for Destination Imagination this year.  The team that did not make it placed second at the regionals but the are a middle school team so only first place goes to States. The tournament was Sunday in Bedford.  The Maniacs, a team of  second and third graders who are managed by Heidi Hurley, placed second which means they have the opportunity to participate in Globals in Tennessee.  The Pink Flamingo's are managed by Erin Hennessey and the placed third at the State level.  We were hoping that something could be printed in the paper.   It is pretty impressive the a north country team has made it this far!

 That team also won a special spirit award which stated:

 "This team embodies the Spirit of Di through their empathy, selfless sharing of time, and outreach not only to their community, but to another generation!  The appraisers were blown away by the team created illustrated book to show their journey of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, which they are representing to the Senior Center!  This young team emerged from their cocoons to become a school of butterflies."

 The team had the challenge READY, WILLING & Fable.  They had to come up with an idea of a community need and incorporate their project into a fable, which you will see.  The team has been reading to people at the senior center once a month.  The amount of joy that had poured out from this has been incredible to observe.

North Country Education Services Middle School Film Festival

Every year North Country Education Services in Gorham New Hampshire hosts a middle school film festival for students in grades 4-6.The theme of the 2016-2017 North Country Student Film Festival, Through Our Eyes, seeks to give students a voice to highlight the positives of the region. From people to place, to creative ideas and the ways people are working towards solutions. Students from Lakeway created the two films above for this contest. These videos were completed during the digital film creation class during winter program.

COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE CONVERSATION with Principal Joanne Melanson regarding Daisy Bronson Middle School and Littleton High School.  Our goal with these sessions is to work on developing ways to ensure DBMS/LHS is a safe, respectful and inclusive campus.  We want to provide a forum where people can discuss concerns and celebrate our successes.  We intend to provide a positive space with action items to guide our discussion, but also to get ideas from the community about ways we can provide more support and help build the sense of belonging to our great community.  This will be held every Thursday from 8:00am to 9:00am in our Cafeteria.  Starting Thursday, February 10, 2017.
